I was born in Oviedo, in the Northern Spanish region of Asturias, on 3 March 1971. I graduated with a degree in Physics from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid in 1994. Since then I have worked as a software engineer in the field of 3D animation for leading companies in Madrid and in Cambridge, England. Since early 2007 I am based in Barcelona.

I have always had a deep interest in languages. I have studied English, Chinese, German, French, Portuguese and Arabic. Ever since I passed the 'intérprete jurado' examination in 1997, I have done some occasional work as a translator for various individuals and companies in both Spain and the UK.
